“Lavis au passé composé” plays on the words lavis (ink wash) and la vie (life), while evoking time and reconstruction. This series reuses fragments of past ink works together with new scraps of paper, torn, collaged, and mounted. It symbolizes a gaze upon both the past and the present, reshaping them into new forms. The spontaneity of ink, revealed through tearing and layering, allows the landscape to transcend the boundaries of time.
