Exhibition - Impressions d'Îles - artwork list
The story behind this exhibition "Impressions d'Îles" (Impressions of islands) originates from my two holiday stays in Corsica, whose insular landscapes reminded me of my birthplace, Taiwan. This connection between islands sparked a deep reflection on my memories, blending moments of childhood and travels. Thus, the theme of “islands” emerged, bridging these experiences and inspirations.
As expressed in the exhibition text: "The beauty of the islands, the mountains, the lush nature, the fresh, humid air, and the familiar hues blend with a deeper sense — one that speaks to the soul." These elements gradually shaped my works, leading to this exhibition.
I present a new series, Relief, exploring the interplay of mountains and water. These motifs also appear in my Wash of Words series, which highlights “Mountain,” “Water,” “Island,” and their treasures.
Each artwork is accompanied by a descriptive card to help you uncover my vision and thoughts. Dive into this poetic journey through insular beauty and depth.
